It is one of our gameplay settings. Sometimes when players use full backspin on certain landforms, the actual landing point will be apart from the target circle. It needs players to judge in advance.

It doesn't always happen. So you have to pay attention to the ball guide when setting up a shot.
If it appears that the ball first bounce is not centered on the white dot you have to make shot corrections to allow for the secondary effects.
Move the ball guide so it shows the ball going directly in the Hole. Note the white dot location after the ball guide shows the ball dropping in the cup.
Now there is a new center point of the shot adjustment. It is exactly where the white dot is at that time.
Forget about the cup at this point and making wind adjust based on the new white dot center point.
Elevation differences can also have similar effects on the shot.

Ideally, when your shot comes up, the ball is "set" for the hole.

In the following, I am referring to myself, not you personally. This is what I do.

1. You either have a straight in the shot and you make adjustments for wind and take the shot.

2. If there is a red line, or a yellow and red dashed line, I adjust spin accordingly and make sure it didn't adjust the drop point of the ball in comparison to the cup.

2a. If no issues, refer to step 1.

2b. If issues, I adjust my shot to where the line goes into the hole and then repeat step 1 to the adjusted center point, not the cup.
