Matches in Top Goal are divided into chances where you can either attack or defend. In order to perform in the best possible way, being actively present and providing inputs in both attacking and defending is crucial.
Both teams participating in a match have at least three attack chances intermittently, starting randomly.
There are slight differences in matches depending on the competition type:
League matches
As you make your way through different Arenas, your matches in the League will follow the progress as well. More precisely:
- Arena 1-2 - you and your opponent have three chances to attack intermittently.
- Starting in Arena 3 - challenges are introduced at the start of each match. If the challenge is completed, an extra chance is secured.
- Starting in Arena 7 - you can have an option for the counterattack.
For League matches finishing in a draw, a penalty shootout will be played to determine the winner.
Tournament matches
All tournament matches have challenges and counterattacks.
Keep in mind that, unlike in League matches, Tournament matches can finish in a draw, meaning that no penalty shootout will be played.
Playing matches in higher Arenas (League) and higher tier Tournaments become more challenging in regards to different parameters needed to stay competitive. You can always take a look at these conditions prior to initiating a match to prepare yourself in the best possible way.
